This post is still public for the sake of those kind souls on who are just about to give me a review to inform me that Captain is a werewolf.

Initial reactions to the new Dawn images.

Captain is a werewolf? WTF?! Hairy, furry, bay at the moon while wearing a greatcoat werewolf!

Oh my.

And Girlycard. Apparently the Major refers to Girlycard using the feminine, but it's unclear whether Girlycard is lacking some key bits, or if the Major was just being insulting.

Genderfuck writing on tap for the weekend, definitely.

Edited to add the two scans I've seen. O.O

And I'm a dolt for forgetting to credit [ profile] zatouichi for the scans. Thanks very much. ^.^

Yeah I know. I praise Taylor for being a sweet and tell us but...

As long Alex won't do the werewolf thing, I'll be happy.

We'll send Mish to kick Hirano's ass if he tries that.

Dood, my response exactly. I've seen a couple of preliminary scans. Once they're released, I know they'll be linked.

Just. I'm gobsmacked.

Definition of irony:

I was going to make the new Millennium officer in PP a werewolf. Now I'm not so sure...

Still, one thing occurs to me. We now know how Hans is so badass. But, as a Werewolf, he should age normally. So how is it that he's still young?

...Has he become a vampire/werewolf hybrid?

I was wondering about his youth as well. Ah the mystery of obsessive fandom. XD

Yah, hybrid for sure. But maybe not, I mean, in the good old, eastern Europe lore, werewolves become vampires when they die.

Vampires can go 'werewolf' at time as well, natures are linked.

Oh that's true. Wasn't Dracula able to control wolves as well as become a wolf and a wolf like creature? I so love a good plot twist. XD

While that is true I have actually seen movies and read books that portrayed Werewolves as immortals like vampires with no aging or very slow aging. So I'm guessing that we should probably wait and see which werewolf lore Hirano is using. Although I think it is likely that Doc and his research is the reason for Hans not aging.

I can't wait either. Nor for the upload of the rip of the DVD, which I know at least one person has promised. <3

Of course. I went ahead and added you back, and thanks. Looking at Dark Walter all the time makes me a happy fangirl. Eep.

I don't think Alucard is actually female in Dawn, but, considering his shapeshifting abilities, it wouldn't be overly shocking to me.

The Captain thing, on the overhand, is totally unexpected. I'll have to see how Hirano handles it more before I can decide if I really like it, but I think it's neat.

I don't think so either. I was reading through Dawn earlier, and it seems that Arthur is referring to Alucard as "he," although the context makes it a little ambiguous. I think Alucard is probably male, but doesn't really look it. I assume we'll find out eventually.

Yes, Arthur's line is what makes me think that Alucard is just a dude that looks like a lady. But yeah, hopefully Walter (or Arthur again, if it goes back to England) will make some comment that will clear things up.

Actually, I think girlycard is the body of a girl, Alucard has devoured in the past and he was so fascinated by her that he wears her body.

That's an interesting and original take on that.

I still blame craaaazy Arthur Hellsing™ but your idea has the merit of being something nobody else has thought of.

I also wanted to write a
Dracula x (insert random female slavic name)
to explain how did this happen but so far I only had shitty ideas.

I do think it's just Alucard doing it for shits and giggles and Arthur's pervy self, but you get several points for originality. ^_^

Those are actually pretty poor quality. The Hellsing Project has high quality scans in the download forum, but you must be a participating member to access that forum.

High quality scans of the entire new Dawn chapter, I should clarify.
